Boys golf on 2-meet win streak

The Franklin County boys golf team showed improvement at Hidden Valley Golf Club last Tuesday in comparison to the showing at the same course last year, according to coach Dylan Huber. FC improved by 13 shots over the past season, shooting 188; Batesville won with 165 and host Lawrenceburg, behind medalist Cameron Williamson’s 36, shot 181. Oldenburg had 219.

The Wildcats were led by sophomores Gavin Gillman and Carson Allen, each with 46, and closely followed up by classmates Brady Foster (47) and Hayden Rolfes (49). 

Colin Troyer carded 54 and Carsyn Patterson 58.

The team had a strong showing at municipal Brook Hill Golf Club Thursday, defeating the South Dearborn Knights by a score of 167-209. FC was paced by Allen (38) and Foster (39).

Gillman, Rolfes and Patterson came in at 45; Jackson Williams had 49, Michael Wiesemann 50, Nick Vanoven 53 and Cameron Young 53.

FC defeated the Union County Patriots at Liberty Country Club Monday, 179–191. Medalist for the match was Rolfes with a score of 41. 

Allen finished at 44 while Foster and Gillman each shot 47. Patterson was at 54, Vanoven 57, Troyer 61, Wiesemann 61, Young 63 and Williams 69.

FC hosts East Central today.
