November Noel is Saturday

By John Estridge, Editor

The official start to the Christmas season in Franklin County is the first appearance of Santa.

That will take place Saturday afternoon, Nov. 18, behind the courthouse on Court Street.

Santa is part of the annual November Noel. Festivities begin at 1 p.m. and continue for three hours until 4 p.m.

Jolly Santa Claus will be under a tent so the festivities will be ongoing whether the sun is shining, it is raining or it is snowing.

Along with Santa, Mrs. Claus will be at November Noel.

And there will be entertainment and some local organizations offering fun things to do.

Also, there will be carriage rides available.

Whitetail Acres has contracted with Santa to bring some of his reindeer to the celebration.

Brookville Theater is offering a free movie, “Polar Express.” It will be shown at 12:30 p.m., Saturday

The early weather report for Saturday is for rain in the morning and then turning colder with some wind. So bundle up and maybe don some rain gear before coming to attend the festivities.
