A benefit is being held on Saturday, July 28 for a 1-year-old boy who was diagnosed with cancer.
Caysen was diagnosed with stage 2 Wilms Tumor on his left kidney, and as a result of the cancer, he had to undergo surgery to have his left kidney removed. Caysen has also had many other medical conditions and complications because of the tumor. Jamie Callon, Caysen's mother, is currently soliciting donations for the benefit.
“As you can imagine, it takes an emotional toll on the family and everyone around,” Callon said in a statement.
Caysen receives two types of chemotherapy, and he will continue to undergo chemo for 18 weeks. He will also need multiple CT scans until he is 7 years old.
They are looking for items for gift baskets, pre-made gift baskets, items to raffle off and cash donations. The money will be used for medical bills, living expenses and travel.
“We are grateful and appreciate anything you can do to help,” Callon said in a statement. “We can pick up your donations from anywhere in the tristate area.”
The benefit is being held at Gravelrama 9580 Valley Junction Rd., Cleves, Ohio 45002 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. There will be food, music, a bake sale, split the pot and a silent auction among other events. Wristbands and T-shirts will also be available. Adult admission will be $20, and tickets for children 12 and under will be $15. Dinner is included with the ticket.
