Brownsville manhunt ends in two arrests
A report of unwanted persons at a Brownsville residence resulted in a subsequent manhunt leading to two arrests.
Travis Kelley, 28, and Dylan Givens, 24, were arrested and both were found to have out-of-state warrants for their arrests.
According to a Union County Sheriff’s Department (UCSD) press release, UCSD Deputy Matt Snyder responded to a report of unwanted people at a residence on Main Street in Brownsville.
It was about 2:13 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 5.
Snyder arrived at the residence and viewed two adult males run out the residence’s back door. Snyder called for assistance.
A K-9 with the Richmond Police Department arrived on the scene as did several other UCSD deputies. The deputies set up a perimeter around the riverside town.
The K-9 tracked the two individuals heading north along the Whitewater River.
Two hours later Kelley and Givens were apprehended.
Both were transported to the Union County Jail in Liberty and were charged with Resisting law enforcement.
Kelley was wanted on an Ohio warrant for Parole violation while Givens was wanted on a Pennsylvania warrant for Failure to appear on the charge of dangerous drugs.
