The last week of school is typically a fun time and a pair of Liberty Elementary Kindergarten teachers turned the last week of remote learning into an activity students could enjoy and learn beyond the final day of the 2020 school.

An obstacle course created in chalk by Karen Sustarsic and Erin Hensley soon appeared on the sidewalk connecting the elementary and middle school buildings in Liberty.

In addition to exercise, the course was a teaching tool as well. It featured the ABC’s, counting, frog jumping, shuffling and skipping and lots more footwork.

“It was a workout just making it and it was special for a couple of reasons,” Hensley said. “First, it was fun to create something for the kids that we know they would enjoy. Secondly, it was my last activity to
