Although youth groups and rec leagues may begin athletic activities on June 14 per Indiana's Back on Track plan, high school programs must wait until the following month to resume practices and conditioning.
 
The IHSAA has decided to postpone sports until the official end of the 2019-20 calendar, which is June 30. The next day, coaches can begin conducting Limited Contact and Summer Open Facility sessions. The moratorium typically imposed the week of July 4 is waived this year, meaning coach/athlete contact is allowed the entire month of July — excepting Sundays — and Saturday, Aug. 1.
 
The first scheduled event for Franklin County High School athletics is the annual girls golf invitational hosted by Richmond on Aug. 3.
