The Union County Lady Patriots stopped the South Dearborn Lady Knights, 51-28, on the road at Aurora last Saturday.

A strong, complete game put UC out front from the opening tip-off until the final buzzer.

The Lady Pat offense was led by Madison Gray’s 28 points, South Dearborn’s total team score.

“Zoe Murphy played lock-down defense against their best player and only gave up one basket,” UC coach Scott Gray said. “An incredible win.”

Seniors Krystin Bond and Elsa Meek led SD with 10 and eight points, respectively.

The Lady Patriots travel to Eastern Hancock on Wednesday, Jan. 15, and Union City on Saturday, Jan. 18. UC returns home to host Knightstown on Thursday, Jan. 23.
