High School academic competition is currently underway in Indiana and concludes at the Indiana Academic Super Bowl at Purdue University on Saturday, May 5. 

Union County Academic teams opened the Eastern Indiana Academic League competition on Jan. 22 at Northeastern with impressive results.
The UC English team brought home a first place team ribbon with Aaron Herring and Carson Eversole tying for third place individual honors, Jackson Dodd was second and Layla Hannon at the top in first place.

The UC math team placed second overall with individual ribbons going to Keaghan Coyle third, Braydon Reiboldt second and Mahlon Page first.

The UC social studies team came home with a third place team ribbon with Trey Cornelison earning a third place individual ribbon. 

In Science, Mahlon Page stood third in individual awards and the UC Interdisciplinary team received the third place team ribbon.

UC Academic teams will be in competition on Feb. 18 at Randolph Southern and the EIAL Conference meet at Cowan High School on March 2.

UCHS will host an academic meet on April 14 prior to the Academic Regional at Richmond on April 21.

Purdue University hosts the state meet on May 9.
