The family of Doug Buell wishes to thank everyone for all their love and kindness over these past 4 months. First all the ones who crowded his apartment when he was taken on his first leg of his journey home. What a tribute to him. Scott, you were such a blessing to me when you cleaned out his apartment. I knew it was so hard for you. Special thanks to Shelley Dodson and Dana Hadden for your special words of comfort. Charlotte Telker, your organ music was with so much love. Kevin and Karen Bunch, and Scott Buell, your singing was so special, Doug would have cried with me. That brace on your arm didn’t hurt your playing at all Karen. To my church family, you were always there for me, Thanks for the meal and all the food. My special friend Geneva Floyd, you were there for me especially when we cleaned the church. You kept me grounded with your “Don’t go there Pat.”
To all special blessings.
The Family of Doug Buell.
The Wayne County Soil and Water Conservation District would like to thank the volunteers and staff that worked Tox-A-Way Day on Saturday, May 5th. This collection of paints and solvents was held at the New Paris Pike Landfill and would not have been possible without the City of Richmond and Sanitary District allowing residents of Wayne and Union Counties the opportunity to properly dispose of these household hazardous waste items from around their house and property. There were 67 residents that participated in this special collection day. This event has helped to keep our environment cleaner for present and future use. Community volunteers: Mary Heyob and Jonathan Snyder. Wayne County SWCD Board Members, Staff: Scott McCarty, Eric Snyder, Steve Hayes Jr., Mindy Jordan, and Raquel Baker. Union County SWCD Board Member Allen Paddock. WUR SWMD Board Members: Gary Saunders, Mary Anne Butters, and Ron Itnyre. Employees of the Richmond Sanitary District: Darren Duncan, Sean Johnson, and Josh Melse.Funding for this event was provided by Wayne County Foundation, Georgia-Pacific Foundation Color Box, Wayne County SWCD, Union County SWCD and WUR SWMD. The use of the Household Hazardous Waste facility for this event was provided by the Richmond Sanitary District. Fruit and snacks were provided by Brad and Lisa Beach. Good News Habitat for Humanity collected the latex paint for recycling. If I have forgotten to mention any organization or individual, please know your help and time for this event was greatly appreciated and would not happen without you! Thank you!
