Floyd W. Maddix, age 73, of Cleves, Ohio died Sunday morning May 12, 2024 at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born June 29, 1950 in Detroit, he was the son of the late James Maddix and Rose (Henson) Harding. On June 3, 1972 he and the former Carolyn Byrd were united in marriage and she survives.
Floyd was retired, having been a truck driver for many years. In his leisure time he cherished being with his family, camping and traveling, and had also enjoyed collecting Tonka Trucks.
Besides Carolyn, his loving wife of 52 years, survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Maddix of Cleves, Ohio and Sandra Acree of North Bend, Ohio; three grandchildren, Hannah (Joseph) Scolf, Danielle Acree, Jessica Acree; one great-grandson, Jackson Acree; two brothers, Christopher Maddix of Cleves, Ohio and James Ray Maddix of South Shore, Kentucky; a step-sister, Barbara Layton of Trenton, Ohio and a step-brother Robert Harding of Apopka, Florida; two aunts, Ruby Hunter and Patricia Henson, one uncle, Steve (Pam) Henson all of Brookville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Harding.
Family and friends may visited on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Earl Byrd will officiate the funeral eervice at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, with burial following in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
