It is with a sense of celebration and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Constance “Connie” Ellen Wagner (nee Brown), who departed this world on February 28, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on May 15, 1959, in Munich, Germany, to Cecil and Nancy (nee Schuler) Brown, Connie was the cherished baby sister to her twin sister, Barb, arriving just moments after her.

Connie grew up in Indiana, where she graduated from high school, and on May 15, 1982, she married her beloved husband Matthew Stephen Wagner III. Together they raised their daughter Stephanie, forming a family filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Connie’s simplicity was reflected in her love for animals, her joy in trying her luck at local casinos, and her fondness for Pink Floyd music and dining at BW and LaRosa’s.

Connie was not just a wife and mother; she dedicated 20 years of her professional life as a custodian for the Southwest Local School District before serving at Shawnee Springs and concluding her career at Wyoming High School. Her dedication to her work and the community brought her immense joy and pride.

Connie’s memory will be lovingly preserved by her husband of 42 years, Matthew Wagner III; her dear daughter, Stephanie Wagner; cherished granddaughter, Sydney Matthews; devoted parents, Nancy and Cecil Brown; and her beloved twin sister, Barb (Don) Rubush. She is also survived by her brother, Larry (Linda) Brown; mother-in-law, Mary “Jeanne” Wagner; sisters-in-law, Jenny (Ken) Angel and Laura (Dennis) Dunn; brothers-in-law, Bob (Kristen) Wagner and Kenny (Jenny) Wagner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

To honor Connie’s vibrant life, visitation will be held at Brater Winter Funeral Home, located at 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, Ohio, on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. Following the service, we will celebrate her life and legacy with a burial at Glen Haven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Connie’s family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Southwest Ohio. A funeral home representative will be on hand to assist with donations during the services.

Join us in celebrating the remarkable life of Connie Wagner, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend, whose spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.
