Geraldine P. Case

Geraldine P. Case, 88 of Rushville, passed away on February 28, 2025 in Rushville. She was born on December 19, 1936 at Sigourney, Iowa to the late Gerald and Dorothy (DeWeese) Emanuel. Geraldine married Ralph H. Case on August 4, 1956 in Chicago. and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2018. She was a member of First Christian Church in Oskaloosa, Iowa and now attended Center Christian Church of Mays. 

Geraldine retired after 20 years of service from ISSCH in Knightstown. She served in the U.S. Army during the Korea War. Geraldine was a Past Matron of Raleigh OES #508 from 1973-74 and 1977-78, Past Guardian of Jobs Daughter in Rushville, Bethel 92 from June 1974-76, Life member of DAV Auxiliary #41 in Liberty, Ky. and also life member of VFW Auxiliary #173006 DAL in Ky. and Moose Lodge of Bowling Green Ky. Chapter #1391. 

Geraldine is survived by her children, Doris D. (Rob) Hankosky of Centerville, Henry H. (Kay) Case of Raleigh, Ind., Ralph R. (Brenda) Case of Rushville, Irene I. Hoefner of Carthage; two sisters, Sanda K. (Jess) Boatright and Dorothy Charlene Koonce. She will be also be missed by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Judy Hampton, grandsons, Jared Case, Kyle Case, Jeremy Crail and Dillon Crail; great-grandson, Grayson Hampton, son-in-law, Jerry Hoefner, sister, Wilma Maxine and brother, Arthur Andrew Emanuel. 

Services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Moster Mortuary, with Pastor Darryl Denney presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11 a.m. until the time of service in the mortuary. Burial will be held in East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of Southern Indiana.
