Kevin M. Hayes, age 62, of Brookville, died Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at his home in Brookville of apparent natural causes.
Born December 28, 1962 in Cincinnati, he was the son of Michael E. and Barbara (Fritz) Hayes. He was retired, having worked as a land surveyor for much of his life.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #1010 of Brookville. In his leisure time he enjoyed Notre Dame football, the Cincinnati Bengals and playing softball. He also was an avid scuba diver.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Hayes of Brookville; three sisters, Maureen (Richard) Smith of Brookville, Margaret (Ron) Jones of Florida, Bridget Hayes of Brookville, a brother, Sean (Sheryl) Hayes of Goshen, Ohio, half-brother, Brian (Allicia) Hayes of Batavia, Ohio; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael E. Hayes, as well as his grandparents.
Family and friends visited Monday, March 3, 2025 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Vincent P. Lampert officiated the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 3, 2025, 11:00 A.M., at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 145 E. St. Michael’s Blvd., Brookville. Burial followed at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brookville.
