Our beloved Mother, Kathryn Barnard, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at her residence.

Kathryn was born in Union County on October 7, 1925, to Fred and Ethel Klein. She was a 1944 graduate of Alquina High School. Kathryn was married to Hobart Barnard on December 31, 1948. Kathryn worked as a secretary for the Union County Extension Office, then was a stay at home farm wife and mother. 

Kathryn will be remembered by her children: Elaine Meyers (Bob) and Lynn Hofmann (David). Grandchildren: Nikki Brock (Ben), Joel Hofmann (Monica), Brad Hofmann (Katie). Seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers: Donald, Francis, Hershel, and Lloyd Klein, her sisters: Evelyn Klein and Hazel Glaub.
