Elton M. Kennel Jr., of Brookville, was born on January 18, 1934, in Middletown, Ohio, a son to Elton Sr. and Virginia Carbery Kennel. He married Helen Halcomb on February 18, 1952, in Brookville, and together they shared over 60 years of marriage. Elton proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Ford Motor Company for over 20 years as a machinist in Indianapolis. In his spare time, Elton enjoyed traveling, especially in his motor home.
