Lester W. Oehlmann of Westlake, Ohio, was born October 21, 1939 in Brookville, the son of Wilbur and Lydia (Minnemann) Oehlmann. He passed away January 2, 2017, at the age of 77. He graduated from Brookville High School in 1957. He enlisted in the Navy and spent four years aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Franklin D. Roosevelt.
He attended the University of Jacksonville and the University of Florida, graduating with a degree in electrical engineering. He went on to work for DuPont Washington Works in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He retired as Senior Technical Engineer from Dupont in 1996, having worked there for 30 years.
He was married to Anna Marie Lewis in September 1961, and she survives.
Les is also survived by three children, Shelley (Robert) Bobrowski of Colleyville, Texas; Leila (Parry) Daiuto of Westlake, Ohio; Bradley (Amy) Oehlmann of Bluffton, SC; sister, Dorothy (William) Roleson of Brookville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a memorial service in his honor at a later date.
