RUSHVILLE — Did you know that the Rush County Economic and Community Development Corporation (ECDC) currently has three different grant and loan opportunities available for local businesses?

• The Rush County Revolving Loan Fund: The ECDC maintains a revolving loan fund that is used to provide low-interest loans to small Rush County businesses. As these loans are paid back, the recaptured funds go back into the RLF to be loaned out again in the future.

• COVID-19 Small Business Grant: The City of Rushville has been approved for a $250,000 grant to support small businesses. Local businesses can be granted between $10,000 to $50,000 to retain low-to-moderate income employees.

• State of Indiana Small Business Restart Grant: Applicants can seek reimbursement for up to 80 percent of qualified expenses, such as rent/mortgage payments, utilities, lease payments for real or personal property, and safety investments (like personal protective equipment (PPE) and infrastructure improvements). Small businesses can be awarded up to $2,500 or up to $5,000 for each month in which the business demonstrates a revenue loss of at least 40 percent or of at least 80 percent, respectively, with grants issued up to $10,000 per company.

If you are interested in applying for a loan and/or grant, please contact the ECDC at (765) 938-3232 or aroszell@rushecdc.org.
