The Northeastern Knights rolled through last week’s IHSAA boys basketball sectional at Shenandoah, beating Shenandoah 47-41, Union County, 66-33, and Hagerstown, 54-41, in the championship game. Hagerstown reached the championship by defeating Knightstown, 65-44, in the second game.  

The Knights advanced to one-of-four Class 2A Regionals held on Saturday, March 11, at Greenfield-Central High School.
 
Pats fall in Game 3 
Northeastern was ready to play from the start, which led to a 21-11 first quarter score. Senior forward Grant Luebbe had 20 points (six  treys and one 2-pointer) by half-time. He added another in the third quarter and 25 points for the game-leading scorer.
UC freshman Nick Watterson led the Patriots with 12 points and 5 rebounds.
