Union County enters Friday's sectional semifinal at Shenandoah (vs. Northeastern) losers of their last nine games following a 70-50 loss to the Milan Indians in Ripley County Friday.
The Patriots started out hot leading 14-10 after eight minutes. Milan then outscored UC by at least five points in each of the remaining quarters, including doubling the Pats' score in the fourth (22-11).
Junior Logan Harris paced the visitors with 14 points while classmate Gavin Davis netted 11. Senior Rhett Hollen tallied 7, freshman Nick Watterson 6, Ty Elleman and senior Brad Meadows 5 apiece and Logan Boone a 2-point bucket.
UC (3-20) faces the Knights tomorrow, 7:30 p.m. Milan has a sectional semi matchup Friday as well, facing Hauser at South Ripley.
