Franklin County Community School Corporation is thrilled to welcome Mr. Jared Tucker as the new Franklin County High School and Middle School assistant principal.  Mr. Tucker will serve as the Assistant Principal in both buildings, primarily focusing on student attendance.   Mr. Tucker is a “student and teacher-focused leader driven to promote a professional learning community in which all stakeholders thrive and succeed.”

Mr. Tucker is a lifelong resident of southeast Indiana. Jared, his wife Allison, and their four boys currently reside in Bright.

Jared attended Indiana University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. He later obtained a Master’s degree in School Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Currently, Mr. Tucker is a teacher at Ohio County Elementary/Middle School in Rising Sun. In this role, Jared develops science and social studies curricula, integrates technology, analyzes state testing data, develops skills-based middle school remediation programs, and conducts teacher observation and development.

Prior to Rising Sun, Jared spent 5 years at Saint Mary’s School in Aurora. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Tucker was (and still is for Rising Sun) an active member of the School Improvement Team.

Mr. Tucker's educational journey began at South Dearborn Middle School in Aurora, where he monitored attendance and hallways, integrated technology into the curriculum, and attended many professional development opportunities.

In all, Mr. Tucker has been in education for fourteen (14) years. When asked to describe his educational
philosophy, Jared responded, “My educational philosophy centers around the development of human capital, relationships, and the cultivation of lifelong learners. My goal as an educator is to get the most out of those that I teach and those with whom I work and lead. This involves developing strong relationships with all stakeholder groups as a way to see each group achieve their very best.”
