New hat expected for courthouse Thursday

Franklin County Commissioners announced the scheduled delivery and installation of the replacement cupola to sit atop the Franklin County Courthouse at their May 17 meeting.

The county has enlisted the services of the Indiana Department of Transportation to close Main Street and manage traffic Thursday, May 19; county highway crews will be on standby to assist if needed.

The crane is scheduled to arrive on Main Street at 7 a.m. and the cupola at 8 a.m.; work is expected to be completed by the end of day.
