Franklin County Courthouse finally gets new cupola after a year wait

In 2019 the county commissioners learned the cupola was beyond repair. The discussion began on what would be done next to move forward with replacing the structure.
October of 2020, county commissioners approved the necessary contracts to have the damaged Franklin County Courthouse cupola removed and rebuilt to mimic the previous structure.
On Nov. 4 of 2020 a crane was utilized to remove the damaged cupola structure, seal off the opening, and perform some roof repairs.
Over a year later, the machinery has returned to Brookville's Main Street.
