Lady Pats go up 1-0- in TEC

Union County blanked Knightstown, 3-0, last week to take a 1-0 lead in the volleyball Tri-Eastern Conference.

“I’m excited, very excited to get this first TEC win,” coach Allison Kassens said. “The girls are playing well early in the season.”

Knightstown opened the first set with a 4-0 lead before the Lady Patriots bounced back to take a 23-19  edge and ended the set, 25- 20. 

UC won the second set, 25-16 and the third, 25-13.

The Lady Patriots played in the Bishop Chatard Invitational over the weekend, with the Lady Pats falling to Chatard 1-2 and Delta 0-2, shut out Lebanon 2-0.

The Lady Pats are looking to improve their TEC win on the road at  Union City tonight, Aug. 24, and travel to Indy to take on Park Tudor and Speedway on Saturday the 26th.
