David Rockafellow

David Frank Rockafellow, age 74, of Brookville, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born on February 7, 1950, in Flint Michigan to Allen and Oral (Murray) Rockafellow.  He married Darlene Richmond on July 2nd, 1981, in Oscoda, Michigan. Together they had six children: Cindy Rockafellow, of Florida, Stacy (Suzann) Robinson, of Martinsville, Scott Robinson (Sherry) of Brookville, David Rockafellow (Dorene) of Plainfield Ill., Ryan Rossi (Eylse) of Indianapolis, and Kellie Angel of Metamora. 

David served in the US Air Force for 22 years.  Upon retirement from the Air Force David continued to work several jobs until he found his calling as a security guard at Hickory Woods Campground.  David enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and having a beer with friends.  

Those surviving who will cherish David’s memory include his six children, 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren: 26 nieces and nephews, and 43 great-nieces and nephews. 

David is also survived by Karen Lotter, Murray (Bonnie) Rockafellow, Dawn Williams, Oleda (Dean) Raymond, Henry (Debora) Rockafellow, and Brian (Karen) Rockafellow.  Besides his parents and wife, Darlene, he was preceded in death by his twin brother Douglas Rockafellow and two great-grandchildren, Dylin Rossi and John Brown.  

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 11am until 1pm at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  The funeral will begin at 1pm, with Rob Edwards officiating.  Military honors, presented by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 American Legion Honor Guard will conclude services at the funeral home. The burial will be held at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery.
