Stephen Harlan

Stephen Wayne Harlan, 69 of Liberty passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024. He was born on July 29, 1955 in Marion, and was raised in Quitman, Arkansas by the late E. Wayne Harlan and Wanda Bittle Harlan.

Steve was an ordained minister of the Free Will Baptist Church.

Steve was a hardworking man. After 40+ years of working in Printing and Folding Carton, he retired in 2018.  You could often find Steve watching sports and tinkering around with cars. He loved listening to music, especially Waylon Jennings, and watching movies of John Wayne. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and found joy in laughing and joking. Steve was a wonderful son, father, brother, grandfather and uncle to many.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Amber Flowers; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Flowers, Case Gerber and Carleigh Gerber; a son-in-law, Ryan Gerber, all of Liberty; a brother, Roger (Linda) Harlan; a sister, Leeann (Kenneth) Martin; brother-in-law, John Schaumleffel, all of Quitman, Arkansas and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Gerber, of Liberty; sisters, Karon Schaumleffel and Charlotte Decker, of Quitman, Arkansas.
