Janet Montgomery McMullin, 72, died on August 17, 2024.

Janet was born on August 26, 1951, in Covina, California, to Walter and Betty Stull Montgomery. She along with her family relocated to College Corner, where Janet graduated with the class of 1969, from College Corner High School. Janet had been employed for several years with the Internal Revenue Service; perhaps, Janet’s biggest passion was volunteering at The Rape Crisis Center in Ohio, which she did for several years. Janet relished in spending time with her family, she had a love for flowers and reading any book that she could. 

Janet is survived by her son: James “Jim” McMullin and his wife, Ann; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sisters: Sheila Wimsatt and her husband, David; Mary Hayes and her husband, Robert; nephews: Richard Hayes, Courtney and Nathan McDonough. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Nancy Hill; her husband: Mark McMullin.      

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the College Corner Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to follow. For more information, please contact www.showalterblackwelllong.com
