Scott Maynor

Scott Maynor, age 57 of Liberty, peacefully passed away on August 29th, 2024, at Bethesda Hospital Cincinnati, with his sisters Sandra and Theresa by his side.

He was born to David and Marjorie Maynor of Liberty on November 9, 1966.  Scott resided in Liberty, where most of his family also resides. Scott is preceded in death by his loving parents, David and Marjorie Maynor of Liberty, his sister, Barbara Goss of Georgia, his niece, Brittany Goss of Georgia and his brother-in-law Mike Fish. Scott is survived by three sisters, Sandra (Joe) Estep, Gilda Fish and Theresa (Brownlow) Townsend. Scott held a special bond with his sister Gilda and it was very common to see them out and about shopping and socializing in Liberty. Scott loved children. Scott loved to play with and chase around the little ones in the family and he loved his nieces so much. Scott knew everyone’s birthdays by heart and would always make sure to tell them happy birthday. Scott liked to listen to music, watch really old tv shows with Gilda, play on his phone and he loved to swim. Scott worked at AWS in Richmond where he took pride in his work and job performance. 

Scotty will be mourned by his nieces and nephews, Steve, Tracy, Kelly, Tammy, Mark, Amy, Jen and from Georgia, Amy, Phillip, Courtney, Katie and Kelley. Scott was barely a year old when he became an uncle so he grew up alongside of these nieces and nephews just like one of the cousins. Scott also leaves behind 32 great and 12 great- great nieces and nephews with one great- great niece on the way. Scott will also be missed by a host of co-workers and friends. 

A visitation will be conducted from 1:30 p.m. until 2:20 p.m., on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty.
