Golfers head to sectional

FC girls golf obliterated the Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers last Tuesday evening at municipal Brook Hill Golf Club. FC came away with a 70-stroke victory, 179-249! Match medalist goes to FC’s Emma Tolhurst with a score of 40. Annie Hoff shot 43, Serena Silas and Jaelyn Grimmeissen 48, Audrey Mears 50, Ruby Singer 53, Maddie Hoff 56 and Natalee Lykins 62.

The Lady Cats traveled to Westwood Golf Club for a non-conference match against the New Castle Trojans the next night. FC fell 182-202. Match medalist goes to Lydia Hines from NC with a 44. Tolhurst carded 48 to pace FC; the Hoffs and Singer each shot 51, Mears and Grimmeissen 52, Silas 53 and Lykins 57.

FC (9-4) traveled to Arbor Crossing in Connersville for a 3-Way match Monday. Union County took first place with 191 as Peityn Gillman medaled for the Patriots with 40; FC got second 211 and Connersville was third 218. Scores were a bit higher as Tolhurst was low at 51; Mears 52, A. Hoff 53, Silas 55, M. Hoff 55 and Grimmeissen 61 followed.

The EIAC meet’s results weren’t available at press time. The Greensburg sectional is Saturday, 9 a.m.
