Barbara Ida Johnson Lakes, 71, of Connersville, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022 at Reid Health in Richmond where she had been a patient for eight days.

She was born November 9, 1950 in Brookville, one of seven children of Robert Lee and Christine Long Johnson, and she was a graduate of Brookville High School.

Following graduation, she became employed by Ford-Visteon and retired with 38 years of service.

She was a member of Full Gospel Trinity Church and attended Family Worship Church in Blooming Grove.

Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Tomlin Hurst (Daniel) of Centerville; a son, Paul Dustin Rowlett (Crystal Templeton) of St. Leon; eight grandchildren: Brittney Eggers Tomlin, Dylan Tomlin, Makinsey Price French, Braiden French, Nicky Yarbrough, Ryan Rowlett, Serena Rowlett, and Dylin Rowlett; seven great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Christina Tomlin; a brother, Robert Johnson; and a sister, Sue Howard.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
