Marilyn Ann Harcourt Hardwick Woods, 93, Brownsburg, passed away on August 7, 2023. She was born in Rush County to Russell Harcourt, Sr. and Flo Hayes Harcourt. Marilyn graduated from Milroy High School and Indiana University. Marilyn earned her master’s and taught at several schools including Richmond, Arlington High School and served as Dean of Students at John Marshall High School. Marilyn was a member of Connection Pointe Church, Propylaeum Women's Club, Order of Eastern Star, Indiana Retired Teachers, Hendricks Retired Teachers, Daughters of the American Revolution and DGK Omega. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Eugene Hardwick, second husband Morris Woods, brother Russell Harcourt, Jr., sisters Betty Spyrison and Maurita Ball, and niece Sharalie Harcourt. Survivors include her nieces Selby (Al) Mirilavassani and Maria Ball; nephews Carl (Barbara) Harcourt, Stephen (Vicki) Spyrison, Douglas (Terri) Spyrison, Phillip (Gloria) Spyrison, and Mark (Lisa) Spyrison. Also left to treasure Marilyn's memory are her very dear friend Lou Ann Beeson; and caregiver and friend Betsy Schubbe. Visitation was Fri. Aug. 11 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 12 pm. Graveside service was at 3 pm at Moscow Cemetery in Moscow.
