Lady Wildcats swept by Tigers

FC varsity volleyball got progressively better in winning points last Tuesday against Hagerstown but ultimately fell in straight sets, 25-12, 25-14, 25-17.
“We showed improvement in each set we played,” said coach Jill Mergenthal. “It's only a matter of time before we pick up our first 'W'.”
Mackenzie Broshear had an ace, 5 digs, a kill and solo block. Veronica Reeves totaled 2 in the digs, solo blocks and kills departments. Cydney Morehead went for 11 assists, 7 digs, 3 kills and a solo block. Marisa Marshall had an ace, kill and 7 digs. Hope Gardner added 7 digs and an assist. Kensee Ferman chipped in 11 digs, 5 kills and an assist. Chloe Clark contributed 3 digs on defense. Halle George collected a dig and kill. Madison Perleberg added 3 kills, a solo block and dig.
The Cats were at Batesville Tuesday (results not available) and host North Decatur Thursday.
