In Loving Memory of Sue Ellen Ross

Sue Ellen Ross, aged 78, of Liberty, went home to be with the Lord on December 2, 2023. Born on January 9, 1945, in Liberty to Walter D. Breen and Erma Corella Stanton.

On May 31, 1980, Sue joined hands in matrimony with Michael Ross, embarking on a journey of shared adventures across the United States where they visited all 50 states.

Sue dedicated 25 years to transporting the students of Union County School Corporation as a cherished bus driver for local and vocational routes forming deep connections with the children she adored. Sue's tireless work ethic was evident in her diverse pursuits.

A lover of nature, Sue found joy in the morning sunrise and the company of birds. Her talents extended to quilting, crafting, painting, and spending time in her cherished flower garden. Sue also spent time delving into genealogy, unraveling the rich tapestry of her family history.  Devoted to family, she imparted her love for the Lord through Bible teachings.

Sue is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mike Ross, and her children: Kimberly (Bob) Marcum Mercier, Aunica Potts, Gary (Wendy) Potts, and Angela Bullock, and her legacy lives on through grandchildren Stacy Zepernick, Courtney Le, Savannah Grimes, Alannah Thornburgh, Billy Bullock, Justin Mercier, and Laura Hagedorn, as well as great-grandchildren Carson, Sophia, and Aurora. She is also fondly remembered by her brother, Donald Breen; and many nieces and nephews.

She reunites with her parents and is preceded in death by siblings Carlyton Wooley, Jerry Breen, Sandra Rubush, and grandchild Sarah Zepernick. Sue's enduring love and cherished moments with her family remain etched in our hearts.

Visitation for Sue will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N. Main St., Liberty, Indiana 47353. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
