The Brookville Bowling Alley is back & open for business
July 20, 2023 at 12:17 p.m.
Brookville Bowling Alley has been a long-standing activity and pillar place for the residents of Franklin County to come together for an evening of drinks and fun. Now, it has recently re-opened as of June 1, 2023, by previous long-time owner, Rusty Baudendistel.
He originally owned the bowling alley from 1990-2005, where he then took ownership of the lanes and tavern in Cedar Grove for the next eight years. Rusty took time off after 2013 but did not choose to return to Brookville Lanes. It was only when he was asked by the Eagles to regain ownership did he agree, mainly due to the amount of time needed and pending repairs.
Not much was needed to fix the lanes up. Some maintenance on the lanes, new tiling, and overall, just a general touch-up was all that was needed. All that's left is repainting the ball ramps and resetting the lane chairs. It is noted that the bumpers are completely set up on all six lanes as well.
When asked about hours, Rusty explains that he has Open Bowling on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 6 p.m. but will return to regular hours after Labor Day. For now, aside from his Fridays and Saturdays, Rusty mentions that the lanes can be rented out during the week for parties (birthday, graduation, etc.).
Fundraisers can be scheduled as well, and some have already been reserved.
The leagues will start up after Labor Day as well.
Rusty states that he's considering starting two new leagues for junior high and high school students. Middle school would be on Fridays and high school would be on Saturdays. This league would be much shorter as students have other extracurricular activities, and he doesn't want them to miss out on other commitments. The other leagues are as followed:
Women's: Monday
Men's: Tuesday
Mixed Couples: Every other Friday.
Meetings will begin next month, and Rusty can be reached via text at 765-389-3239. He does ask that you text him your questions and he will call you.
