Batesville Police Department asks for help identifying suspects in robbery

On July 16, at 2:25 p.m. Batesville Police Department (BPD) Officers were dispatched to the Shell gas station located at 1029 North State Road 229 in Batesville for an unknown emergency.
When officers arrived on the scene, they learned from the owner that four African-American males in their late teens to early twenties entered the business just after 2 p.m. One of the four suspects distracted the owner, while another stole money from the business office.
The four suspects fled the scene in a silver Mazda Sport Utility Vehicle. They headed eastbound on Interstate 74 after the crime occurred.
The BPD encourages anyone with information about this crime to contact their agency at 812-934-3131.
