UCHS musical - Something Rotten!

Union County High School presents Something Rotten!    March 16, 17 and 18 at 7 p.m., and 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18.

Reserved tickets ($10) are available in the high school office from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

“Something Rotten!” is a musical comedy set in 1595; the story follows the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, who struggle to find success in the theatrical world as they compete with the wild popularity of the fantastic superstar  William Shakespeare. With a mystical Nostradamus, a poor troupe of actors, interfering Puritans and the crafty Shakespeare thwarting their every move,  Nick and Nigel have to find their own paths to create a massive hit musical hundreds of years before musicals were accepted as theatre.

Something Rotten! opened on Broadway at the St. James Theatre on April 22, 2015, where it played for 708 performances. It was nominated for ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
