Kenneth Moore

Kenneth Moore, age 82, of Connersville, was born on August 15, 1941 in Ripley County, a son to John H. and Paira Lee Ackers Moore.  He served his country in the United States Army and later married Phyllis King on March 2, 1963 – she survives.  Kenneth worked and retired from Ford/Philco/Visteon after 31 years of service.  In his spare time he enjoyed reading the Bible, going to auctions, helping others and spending time with family.  On Tuesday, October 24, 2023 he passed away at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Those surviving who will cherish Kenneth's memory include his wife of 60 years, Phyllis Moore; children, Kenny (Kathy) Moore of Connersville, Gayle (Deron) Angel of York, SC, Diane (Jeff) Lamb of Centerville, Ruby (Tim) Couch of Florida, and Timothy Moore of Florida; 13 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are brothers, Earl (Delores) Moore of Brookville, Paul (Judy) Moore of Connersville, and Jimmy (Debbie) Moore of Brookville; sisters, Lola (Bernard) Byrd of Brookville, Lois (James) Saterfield of Brookville, Gracie (Frank) Snowden of Clay City, Ky., and Hazel (Dave) Roberts of Morris; brother-in-law, Jimmy King of Connersville and one wonderful caregiver, Charlotte Miller.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Lorena Atkins, Mervin Moore, John Moore, Jr. and David Moore. 

Friends visited with the family on Monday, October 30, at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  Services began at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Waltz officiating.  Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery
