Mary Frances Collins, age 87, of Metamora, died early Sunday morning November 5, 2023 at Heritage House of Connersville, following a lengthy illness.
Born December 28, 1935 in Metamora, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Era (Ledford) Wilson. She was united in marriage to Kermit Collins, and he preceded her in death on December 10, 1997.
Mary was a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Holiness Church in Metamora, and had been former church treasurer; in her leisure time she enjoyed flowers and gardening, and singing.
Survivors include four children, Donna (John) Roberts, Carol Roberts, Joy (Rick) Venter, and David Collins, all of Metamora; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Collins; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Helen Bradbury, Golden Richardson, Erma Wilson, Betty Wilson; as well as several nieces and nephews and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Kermit, she was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Gene Collins, one grandchild; one great-grandchild; a son-in-law, Rev. Tim Roberts; three sisters, Hazel Baker, Ida Reese, Ruby Halpin; seven brothers, Wallace Wilson, Cecil Wilson, Albert Wilson, Robert Wilson, James WIlson, Eugene Wilson, Homer Wilson.
Family and friends may visit from 4 till 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Trinity Full Gospel Holiness Church, 20015 Haytown Hill Road, Metamora, Indiana.
Andrew Roberts will officiate the funeral service on Thursday, November 9, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Full Gospel Holiness Church in Metamora. Burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
