William “Bill” Counceller

William “Bill” Counceller, 78 of Liberty passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023. He was born on September 22, 1945 in Connersville to the late Thomas Counceller Sr. and Laurel Mae Clark Counceller.

Bill worked for Wayne Works for many years building school buses. He was a welder, worked at C & C Tire and also at Philco Ford. 

Bill was known for being a mechanic and a metal fabricator, he enjoyed tinkering with any vehicles he could fix up. Bill was a goodhearted man, he would do anything for anyone. 

He is survived by his sons, Eric (Judi) Parks and Richard Parks; brother, David (Shannon) Counceller; a sister, Linda (Tom) Barton; six grandchildren, Mekyla Parks, Mekynlee Parks, Caleb Parks, Austin Parks, Zach Parks and Crystal Parks; several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Counceller, and many nieces and nephews. 

Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Counceller; a son, Randall Parks; brothers, Charles Counceller, Thomas Counceller Jr., Claude Counceller and Kenny Counceller; a sister, Edith Bauer; nephews, Terry David Counceller, Jeff Counceller, Joseph Counceller and Charles “Chuckie” Counceller; sisters-in-law, Sharon Counceller and Sandra Counceller; and a brother in law, Phillip Bauer. 

Visitation for Bill will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W. 8th Street, Connersville. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ellis McQueen officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Cemetery.
