Peggy Sue Johnson, age 61, of Brookville, died Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, following a brief battle with cancer.

Born August 11, 1962 in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of the late Leo Clayton and Gladys Marie (Brown) Lambdin.  She had been employed at several area restaurants and nursing homes prior to her illness.

In her leisure time she enjoyed her pets, feeding the birds, and watching television.

Survivors include two children, Nicole (Justin) Lykins Konicke of Andover, Kansas and Brandon (Allison) Johnson of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Emma Konicke and Jackson Konicke; her sister, Tenia (Jeff) McIntyre of Brookville; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Ella Rose Konicke, a sister, Melissa Lambdin, two brothers, James William Lambdin and Anthony Wayne Lambdin.

Family and friends may visit from 5 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Pastor Stephen Sapp of Crosspoint Church will officiate the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Sims Cemetery in New Fairfield.
