November 22, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.

Patricia Van Winkle, age 92, passed over to her Heavenly Home on November 5, 2023, at Whitewater Commons in Liberty, where she had resided for three years.  Patricia was born on October 19, 1931, in Geneva, Indiana, the youngest of three children, to the late Reverend Kenneth Grover and Ruth Alice Wilson Yost.

At a young age, Patricia and her family moved to Wayne County.  She graduated with the Class of 1950 from Richmond High School.  After high school, she started working at the Glove Factory and later at Bartel's Overall Factory.  In later years she was a short order cook in several restaurants in Union County and Franklin County.

She was a faithful member of the Liberty Baptist Church for 40 years.  Patricia enjoyed flower gardening, painting, coloring, and spending time with her family and church family.  She lived a simple life, always trying to help others when she could, and her most valued treasure was the time she spent with her grandson, Joseph.

Her memories will be forever cherished by her daughters, Jean (Eugene) Evans of Liberty and Vera (John) Elsbernd of Oregonia, Ohio; grandchildren, Joseph Michael Elsbernd and Paula Jo Murphy; three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.  She will be greatly missed by her friends and caretakers at Whitewater Commons, Julie, Sheila, Angie and Joey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands; a daughter, Kimberly Sue Rudicil; sons, Jesse Franklin Webster, Charles Eugene Webster and Finley “Joe” Martin Webster; her brother, Kenneth Eugene Yost and a sister, Ruth B. Lowry.

Keeping with Patricia's wishes, a private graveside service will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with her arrangements.  To sign the online guestbook, please visit www.urbanwinklerfuneralhome.com.
