Wayne E. Halcomb, of Brookville, was born on February 23, 1950 in Batesville, a son to Charles and Cora Bravard Halcomb. He graduated from Brookville High School and later married Sharon Schwegman at Holy Guardian Angel Church in Cedar Grove on November 27, 1970. Wayne worked at D&M in Connersville until it closed and owned Quick & Easy Market in Brookville until 1997. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and had mentored students at St. Michael School, and coached sports as well.
