Garlin E. Bryant, age 97, of Liberty, passed away on Monday November 20, 2023 at Whitewater Commons surrounded by his loving family. Garlin was born on October 4, 1926, in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the late Dallas and Onie Mae Wilson Bryant.
Garlin served in the United States Marine Corps from 1945 to 1947, during World War II. After his honorable discharge, Garlin married the love of his life, Mildred Lorene Root Bryant, and together they relocated to Indiana. They married on January 28, 1948 in London, Kentucky, and were blessed with four children. Garlin and Mildred attended Union County Church of Christ, until his health prevented his attendance.

Later, he went to work at Alcoa in Richmond, where he was a tool and die maker when he retired in 1986. Garlin wasn't afraid of work and would do anything he needed to make sure his family was taken care of. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing.
