Willkie Days returns this weekend Sept. 15 - 17 and is jam packed with activities for all ages.

Friday

The annual Covered Bridge Dinner. The event is sold out.

Saturday

Rush Fest

RushFest is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in , downtown Rushville. Vendors will be on the sidewalks along Main Street and East 3rd Street. Downtown shops will also be open for your shopping fun.

Kidz Zone

The Kidz Zone will be located on West 3rd Street and will feature the following fun for kids.  

•Large bounce house

•Large obstacle course

•Inflatable axe throwing 

•Inflatable Basketball

•Barrel train rides

Other fun things in the Kidz Zone include:

•Face painting 

•Rock painting 

•Original Tractor Cab will have a popcorn booth.

The cost of the kid zone is $5.

Photo ops & fun

There will be a midget car on display for photo ops. 

The Rushville Police Department will have a Dunk Tank so stop by and dunk your favorite officer.

Food Vendors

Food vendors will be located in the Kidz Zone area and seating will be available. Food vendors include: 

•American Legion Aux #150 - Sliced pie from their fundraiser, so you can try it before you place your order for the holidays.

•Corey's - pork sandwiches, pork nachos and loaded pork potatoes.

•Just Smokin' LLC - Smoked Pork or Chicken Sandwiches, Walking Tacos, Melts

•Kona Ice - Shaved Ice with so many flavors to choose from.

•Ollie's Family BBQ & Catering - Pulled pork, big wan and loaded nachos.

•Stacy's - Breaded tenderloin, breaded chicken, onion rings and tater tots.

Willkie Park

Set up in Willkie Park will be C&W Kettle Korn - Popcorn (plain and carmel), baked pretzels and hot dogs.

Farmer’s Market 

The Farmer's Market will be filled with vendors selling handmade items, home baked items along with homegrown items. 

Art Show

The Rushville Breakfast Optimist Students Art Show will be on display at the 201 Building. The Rush County Chamber of Commerce Art Show entries will be on display and author Mary Wilkinson will be there to greet you, discuss her writings and offer some of her books for sale.

Parade

The parade begins at 10 a.m. The line-up begins at 8:30 a.m. by the high school gym on Lions Path and Park Blvd. 

5-in-50 Covered Bridge Bike Ride

The 5-in-50 Covered Bridge Bike Ride starts ahead of the parade at 10 a.m.

A special entry in the parade will be five of the Rush County covered bridges ranging from 5ft long to 9ft long. The covered bridges were built by  Rush County resident, Jack Wicker, and will be on display after the parade outside on a trailer located by the 201 Building on Main Street. 

After the parade, Main Street will be closed from 5th Street to 2nd Street so you can enjoy all the festivities without traffic through town.

Concert

At 7 p.m. there will be a free concert at Rushville Riverside Park Amphitheatre and the last concert of the season. The opening act will be Tyler Hornbeck and featured is Pink Droyd, a tribute to the sights and sounds of Pink Floyd including a laser light show.

Sunday

The SPARC(Suicide Prevention Around Rush County) Walk  will be held at 2 p.m. at the Riverside Park.
