David B. Hiner

David B. Hiner, 63 of Rush County, passed away on March 27, 2024 in Columbus, Georgia. Born on January 27, 1961 in Rushville to the late Robert Byron and Martha (Deerin) Hiner. David was a 1979 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and attended Purdue University?s Agricultural Short Course. David was a devoted member of Center Christian Church. 

As a lifelong resident of northern Rush County, David was not only a dedicated farmer but also a talented musician. For over 30 years, he served as an organist at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Rushville and was an active member of the Barber Shop Harmany Society. He shared his love of singing with the Indianapolis Chorus and local chapters.

David is survived by his brother, Michael (Beatrice) Hiner of Cataula, Ga.; niece, Lindsay Hiner and nephew, Shawn (Kumari) Hiner. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dianne Marie Hiner. 

Services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in Moster Mortuary, with Pastor Darryl Denney presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family on Wednesday evening from 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in Moster Mortuary. Burial will be held in East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Center Christian Church in memory of David.
