Catherine Faye Slagle

Catherine Faye Slagle, age 77, of Brookville, died Saturday April 13, 2024 at the Waters of Batesville, following a lengthy illness.
Born May 24, 1946 in Batesville, she was one of three children born to the late Hubert and Margie (Isaacs) Kersey. She was a graduate of the former Brookville High School with the class of 1964.
Cathy worked for over 42 years at the former Sperry Rubber & Plastics in Brookville. In her leisure time she enjoyed going to church, and was a member of the former Lighthouse Gospel Tabernacle. She also enjoyed reading, chocolate, hunting mushrooms, cooking and taking care of her family.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Scott (Kathleen) Slagle and Nathan Slagle both of Brookville; a grandson, Nate (Holly) Slagle of Brookville; two brothers, Leon (Becky) Kersey of Sunman and Jerry (Cindy) Kersey of Brookville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband James R. Slagle Jr.
Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Pastor Justin Bradley, of Red Life Church, will officiate the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home. Burial will then follow in Cupps Chapel Cemetery in Metamora.
