Carmilea “Bo” Antrim

Carmilea “Bo” Antrim passed away on April 19, 2024 with her family by her side at the age of 86. She was born on March 1, 1938 in Connersville, the daughter of the late Walter M. and Audrey Estel Shepler Hoppes.
Bo is a 1956 graduate of Alquina High School. On July 27, 1957 she was united in marriage to her childhood sweetheart and love of her life, Jerry Antrim. They enjoyed 46 years together prior to his death on August 23, 2002. They were blessed with four children.
She was a loving and devoted sister, wife, mother and grandmother that enjoyed working in her flower gardens and was an avid IU Basketball fan. Her most treasured times were the time she spent with her family. She attended the Community Church at Mt. Pleasant.
Her love and memories will be cherished by her daughters, Bun (Doug) Scaggs and Sunny (Joel) Welborn; sons, Jan (Carola) Antrim and Joe (Karen) Antrim; 12 grandchildren, who knew her as Gran, Zane Scaggs, Codie (Rick) Shoemaker, Shyla (Jesse) Lackey, Lindsey (Jesse) Paddock, Kelsie (Kris) Thomas, Owen (Ashlee) Welborn, Maya (Steve) Hughes, Kayla (Trevor) Shaffer, Austin (Erica) Antrim, Jacob (Rebecca) Antrim, Anevay Antrim and Genevieve Antrim. She will be in the thoughts of her brother, Red Hoppes; sister, Shirley (Maurice) Powell; sisters in law, Donna Bourne, Patty Hornung and Carol Antrim; brother in law, Vearl (Linda) Antrim; 20 great grandchildren with one on the way, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a twin granddaughter, Calie Scaggs; brother Lowell Hoppes; sister, Marjorie Stevens; sister-in-law, Christine Hoppes, and a brother-in-law, Robert Stevens.
Friends and family gathered at Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home, 310 N Main Street, Liberty on Wednesday April 24, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday April 25, 2024 at 11:00 am. Bo will be laid to rest next to Jerry at West Point Cemetery.
