Ronald J. Gordon, age 47, of Brookville died unexpectedly Saturday, August 10, 2024.

Born February 1, 1977, in Greenville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Samuel and Beulah (Clifton) Gordon.  On June 11, 1998, he was united in marriage to Vanessa Reese, and she survives. 

Ron began his employment with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department in 2004 and served in various roles throughout his tenure, most recently as a Transport Officer.  Ron was a dedicated loving husband and father and loved his family immensely. In his leisure time, he enjoyed being with his family, working in his yard, and spending time with his valued friends.

Besides Vanessa, his loving wife of over 26 years, survivors include two children, Bo Gordon and Jenna Gordon, both of Brookville; three siblings, Debbie Johnson of Richmond, Dave (Nicole) Pritchett of Diksmuide, Belgium and Dreama Gordon of Millville, Ohio. Nephews Brian Gordon, Terry Johnson, Gavin Reese, and Colton Reese. Nieces Jamie Gordon, Ginger Gordon, Lucy Pritchett, Tristin Althoff (Blake), and Sierra Tipton. Extended family in-law’s James & Diane Reese, Kevin Reese, and Todd Reese (Melody).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Earnest Gordon, and a niece, Arielle Gordon.

Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.

Rev. Mike Holman will officiate the funeral service at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.
