Jeffrey Johnson

Jeffrey Johnson, 66, of Lowell passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Little); daughter, Natalie (Michael “Jake”) Marthaler; mother, Corinne Johnson; siblings, Sharon Agin, Mark (Judy) Johnson, Chris (Niki) Johnson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his and Carol’s angel infant and by his father, Howard Johnson.

Hard work was a way of life for Jeff. Even at an early age Jeff held numerous jobs, such as lifeguard at Brookville Lake in Brookville and Metamora Grist Mill tour guide. Jeff graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He worked in private banking, relationship management; and for the past 21 years, he was the Vice President Bank Manager at BMO (previously Harris Bank) in St. John. 

Jeff was a loving husband, father, son, and friend. All that knew Jeff knew that his pride and joy were his family. He and his wife, Carol, were married for 38 years. He loved spending time with family and brought a sense of laughter and joy to any conversation. He shared his life with others and touched many through his compassion, patience, loyalty, and kindness. 

Jeff was an avid exercise enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling and was an active participant in his community. He was a member of the Lake County Public Library board; the St. John, Dyer, and Schererville Chambers of Commerce; and the Lowell Athletic Booster Club. His faith played an integral part in his life.  He belonged to St. Edward’s Catholic Church and Lake Prairie Presbyterian Church. 

Visitation, Monday, August 19th at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave, Lowell, IN 46356. Funeral service at Sheets Funeral Home, Tuesday, August 20th, beginning at 11am; burial followed at Lake Prairie Cemetery in Lowell; and service of blessing, comfort, and remembrance at The Shrine of Christ’s Passion in St. John.
