Richard Charles Davis

Richard “Rick” Charles Davis, 70, of Liberty passed away on Tuesday August 13, 2024, in Liberty.

Rick was born January 12, 1954, in Union County to Charles and Betty Senour Davis. He was a lifelong resident of Union County and worked for WASCO in Richmond for many years. 

His favorite thing in life was spending time with his grandchildren and spoiling them. He was also an avid reader, loved to do woodworking, a NASCAR fan, enjoyed many animals throughout his lifetime, he loved going to auctions and was also a known collector, especially of Union County memorabilia. He lived his life to the fullest and had many stories to tell. 

Rick is survived by two daughters. Lisa (Dewight) Williams-McDonald, of Connersville and Rebecca (Joshua) Pentecost of Liberty. His beloved grandchildren Colin Williams of Greenwood. and Lyllian, Rhett, and Wade Pentecost of Liberty. A sister Marilyn (Bob) Lange of Greenwood. A lifelong childhood friend Jeff Schibley of Brownsville. Along with two nephews and many other family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by both parents. 

Rick has requested that there be no services or memorial after his passing, his family will be honoring his wishes. 

Rick has also requested that any memorial contributions or donations go towards the futures of his grandchildren. That can be given to The Richard Davis Grandchildren Fund, c/o First Merchants Bank in Liberty.
