The Lady Lions hosted Centerville last Tuesday and fell 5-0. 

Rushville had 13 shots on goal, led by senior Railyn Combs (4) and junior Carly Senour (4). Other shots on goal included: freshman Emily Rouse (3), sophomore Alayna Miller (1) and sophomore McKenna Norris (1). Senior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 21 saves and senior keeper Kelley Stanley had 2 saves. Rushville’s defensive line held Centerville for 5 offside calls. 

The Lady Lions hosted Thursday against conference foe Batesville and were no contest for the visiting Bulldogs, falling 9-0. Rushville had two shots on goal, one each to Combs and Senour. The defensive line was able to hold the Bulldogs for 6 offsides. Glandon had 3 saves and sophomore Khloe Makofka had 22 in goal. 

The Lady Lions hosted Franklin County for another conference matchup Monday. They were defeated 10-0. Sophomore Izzy Simmermon had the lone shot on goal. Glandon had two saves. The defensive line held the Wildcats for 5 offside calls.

Dogs sweep county races
BHS cross country traveled to Jac-Cen-Del Thursday to compete at the county meet in some stubborn heat. Both Bulldog teams ran exceptionally well to capture Ripley County trophies, the girls finishing with a perfect score of 15 and the boys posting 23 to Milan’s 42.
